Whites: Staples for Summer!

Summer has been a killer in Mumbai this year! I don't remember this kind of heat for the longest time ever. Humid, sunny, hot winds and sometimes no winds, it's been crazy!

Whites and that too in light weight materials have been my saviour this season. I picked up a really nice white, light, comfy and airy split sleeves top from BaBassu with contrast detailing that you can see when you see the pics :) It comes in a variety of colours, so you have a palette to choose from if you also plan to pick one up! It's got this buttoned-up back too! Lots in one piece - must be something right ;)

White Chiffon Blouse - BaBassu
Jeans - Levis
Slingback heels - Charles & Keith
Gold Cuff - InPink

The detailing on the front and the buttoned-up back

The split sleeves which I loved, as it gives a nice and sexy vibe :)

This gold cuff from InPink has become a favourite of mine and I seem to be wearing it all the time!

I'm sure you like the top too ;) and so do check out the other pretty colours here!

Perfectly Valentine!

Asymmetrical Sheer Dress - Forever 21
Gold Cuff and Earrings - InPink
Dark Gold Clutch - Irla Market, Mumbai
Diamante Sandals - Giovanna, Singapore (Last worn here)

A feminine and flowy look for Valentine's nite! :D

After the Rock Chic day look(which you can check out here), this look was perfect for my Valentine's dinner with PS. I'd bought this dress from Forever 21 on my Singapore trip last year and was saving it for the right occasion to wear which aptly turned out to be Valentine's! :)

The asymmetrical sheer trend has been in vogue for a while now but what I fell in love with was the colour of the dress.. Pairing it with gold accessories, I added just a pop of orange to the outfit through the earrings. What felt great was that the outfit gave me an absolute 'romantique' feel - Perfectly Valentine! :)

By the way, did you know that Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China celebrate something called as White Valentine's Day, on March 14, one month after Valentine's Day? In Japan, on Valentine's Day, girls/women give men chocolates as an expression of love, courtesy, or social obligation and so on White Valentine's Day, the men are supposed to reciprocate the gesture. In the other Asian countries it's the opposite. Cute! :)

Well Romwe has decided to be extra nice and hold a special Romwe White Valentine’s Day Sale :)

Double Discount:  Up to 70% OFF+ Extra 15% OFF over $65 (Code: whitevalentine)

From 28/2/2013 to 05/03/2013

Date Nite!

The sweetest thing ever - A surprise by the husband(PS) to take me out on a date on a friday nite! So out came a bright new top with a sexy back and my brand new necklace by designer Jesal Vora. There I was all set to be whisked off for an awesome nite by my Prince Charming!

My first try at a Gin concoction - Pretty neat!

Yellow Top - Bugis (Singapore)
Blue Corduroy Pants - Ijeans by Shoppers Stop
Necklace - Jesal Vora
Gold Cuff Bracelet - InPink
Clutch - Accessorize (last seen here)
Gold Ballerinas - Linking Road

On my eyes - A blend of 3 shades from MAC and Clinique
On my cheeks - Mocha Pink Powder Blush from Clinique
On my lips - Vegas Volt from MAC

PS knows I love surprises but his work schedule hinders a lot of plans. More than me I think he was delighted that it worked out! ;)

The necklace is a gorgeous piece with a coral rose, pearls and blue glass beads. I knew I was picking it up the moment I looked at it. I also loved a lot of other Jesal Vora creations when I visited her store which I will be sharing with you guys in a post soon. Other than that, the gold ballerinas were a steal at just INR 150($3) from Linking Road. The yellow top has a sexy back with straps starting from the shoulders which you can see. Sorry but my camera that nite was acting funny so couldn't get too many good shots. Next time for sure :)
