Date Nite!

The sweetest thing ever - A surprise by the husband(PS) to take me out on a date on a friday nite! So out came a bright new top with a sexy back and my brand new necklace by designer Jesal Vora. There I was all set to be whisked off for an awesome nite by my Prince Charming!

My first try at a Gin concoction - Pretty neat!

Yellow Top - Bugis (Singapore)
Blue Corduroy Pants - Ijeans by Shoppers Stop
Necklace - Jesal Vora
Gold Cuff Bracelet - InPink
Clutch - Accessorize (last seen here)
Gold Ballerinas - Linking Road

On my eyes - A blend of 3 shades from MAC and Clinique
On my cheeks - Mocha Pink Powder Blush from Clinique
On my lips - Vegas Volt from MAC

PS knows I love surprises but his work schedule hinders a lot of plans. More than me I think he was delighted that it worked out! ;)

The necklace is a gorgeous piece with a coral rose, pearls and blue glass beads. I knew I was picking it up the moment I looked at it. I also loved a lot of other Jesal Vora creations when I visited her store which I will be sharing with you guys in a post soon. Other than that, the gold ballerinas were a steal at just INR 150($3) from Linking Road. The yellow top has a sexy back with straps starting from the shoulders which you can see. Sorry but my camera that nite was acting funny so couldn't get too many good shots. Next time for sure :)

Style Swap with Attic : Part 1 - My Comfort Look

The Style Swap with Attic was a super fun and crazy project! Something like this was a first time collaboration for me, and a first time for them as well with a fashion blogger.

You must be wondering what it was all about so let me finally spill the beans :)

The Attic Style Swap is all about bringing you out of your comfort zone. Attic know's that you have style(that's a pre-requisite you see) but they lay emphasis on giving you an alternative one. They assist you to try something new, something out of the box, experimenting with your look.

The project was divided into 3 outfits -
  • My Look - 1 that I was most comfortable in when I stepped out. This had to be a slightly formal look, which everyone around me identified me with
  • Their looks for me - 2 experimental looks which would be something different from my regular style
Firstly we decoded my comfort look and the conclusion about me was: Experiments with style, silhouette, colour, uber-chic! But simple, clean & elegant!

And this is my gorgeous comfort look that we kicked off the project with! :)

Dress - bYSI(Singapore)
Necklace - Gift
Clutch - Accessorize
Dimante Sandals - Giovanna(Singapore)
Well, this is just the beginning. The best part is yet to come - the part where they swapped my style! :) So keep watching this space to see what they did with me!

Travel Tales: The Singapore Flyer

When you want to take in the whole of Singapore in a single glance, head to the Singapore Flyer. The Singapore Flyer is the tallest Ferris wheel in the world at a staggering height of 42 stories. A complete 360 degrees round takes half an hour during which you can see the entire view of the city including bits of Malaysia in the night. The view is beautiful, something you will never forget. How the 30 minutes get over, you don't even realise :)

I wore my beloved purple pants with a simple loose satin shirt and my leopard print bow flats, so basically a simple outfit because the heat that day was unbearable and it was important to wear clothes that let some air get to you!

Black Satin Top - Cotton On
Purple Pants - Spring Break (earlier worn here)
Leopard Print Bow flats - Forever New
Golden Bag - Sisley
(earlier worn here and here)
Pearl and Horse shoe pendant necklace - Accessorize
Bangles - Hill Road and Colaba Causeway

The Singapore Flyer in motion
The Marina Bay Sands hotel and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands

The floating stadium
The Marina Bay waterfront
Gardens by the Bay
This is the last post in the series on our Singapore trip. We didn't click any pictures on the last day of our trip but those memories are imprinted in our minds forever :)

How did you like the Singapore Travel Tales? Would love to know.
