Precious moments with Calvin Klein...

Calvin Klein recently launched two of its most beautiful collections ever, Spellbound for Women and Earth for Men in Mumbai as a part of their A/W 2015 collection launch in India. Ri(t)ch Styles was one of the privileged on the select guest list invited by them to preview the to be launched collections and spend time with the brand and their favourite Diana Penty. The venue was the stunning Asilo at Palladium Hotel and we had a beautiful evening spent with the precious collections by CK as moments seemed to just fly by.

Calvin Klein's every collection makes my heart skip a beat and this time was no different. I fell in love with the gorgeous Spellbound collection where time pieces and jewellery were encapsulated in python embossed leather in stunning colours, and stainless steel to captivate your senses. You are bound to have people asking you about this collection if they see it on you. The grey set from the collection fit in so well with my outfit, that I kept it on for most of the evening :)

There were collections on display other than Spellbound too and my next favourite was the Period 3 collection. I particularly fell for the rose gold watch with a mother of pearl dial. It has a classy design with a bracelet look which is unique and gives the wearer a feeling of being different. Looks very pretty on the hand too :)

The rest of the range was quite stunning too with pretty time pieces and jewellery that could take you from casual to work and day to night.

From the men's range, the Earth collection was definitely my favourite and I particularly liked the aspect where the dial colours had been matched to the strap colours. The ruggedness of the collection was what made it to my must have list as once in a while I do love wearing men's watches for the androgynous appeal and for my love for big dials :)

Other than the highlight which was the Earth collection, Calvin Klein made sure that the men have a huge choice this A/W right from watches to accessories to jewellery.

These pieces will soon be available across all Calvin Klein outlets for you to own, so keep your patience for a bit just like I am :)

As we were spending precious time with the brand that evening, we shared all our moments with the hashtag 'ckminute' which is a globally used tag for admirers of the brand and evangelists alike celebrating their moments with Calvin Klein watches. Check out my moments across social media with #ckminute to know more on the lovely evening :)

Birla Cellulose launches Liva - A new age natural fluid fabric

The last few days have been really enlightening for me in terms of advancements that science has made in the field of fashion. You guys following me on Twitter must have seen my updates to agree with me. One such advancement that is taking India by storm and whose official launch I was fortunate to be a part of is the brand LIVA, a new age fabric made with natural fibres/cellulosic that is derived from wood pulp. It has been launched in India by Birla Cellulose - the Pulp and Fibre Business Division of Aditya Birla Group. They also announced the launch of the Liva Accredited Partner Forum - LAPF at the event which was held at the JW Mariott, Sahar, Mumbai with an exclusive fashion show.

Let me enlighten you too on Liva for you to understand things better. The beauty of the fabric is its fluidity - it's not at all stiff but extremely soft and flowy which helps it drape wonderfully, has a lovely shine to it giving the material a richer look, and hence is extremely comfortable. All these integrated together give a perfect fall to garments by helping them to skim the body well and make movement easier. Finally since it's natural, it has great breathability and hence feels great on the skin.

‘Panchtatva’, a beautiful amalgamation of the five elements of nature, was the theme of the fashion show at the launch. It started with a fabulous dance performance depicting the fluidity of Liva before 5 designers showcased their individual collections inspired by an element of nature.

James Ferreira - AIR

An all white collection, with gorgeous drapes and airy silhouettes depicted the element of Air in James Ferreira's designs.

Puja Nayyar - EARTH

Earthy tones with pops of neon that gave a nice pop of colour to the outfits is what Puja Nayyar's Earth collection was all about. I loved the fusion of structured and flowy silhouettes in her showcase.

Soham Dave - SKY

Potraying the Sky, Soham Dave's resort collection in blue and colours of the sun, was summer perfect. A super chic showcase with a lovely boho feel to the collection is what I instantly fell in love with!

Narendra Kumar - WATER

Narendra Kumar's collection was full of striking prints and sharply tailored flowy silhouettes that was inspired by Water. The fluidity of the fabric was brought out well across his structured designs.a

Anita Dongre - FIRE

Anita Dongre set the ramp on fire with a stunning collection with gorgeous gowns, flary skirts and flowy jumpsuits. She never ceases to amaze and her collection was bang on prefect in depicting the element of Fire. The beauty of the showcase was the ease with which the models whirled around to show the fluidity and lightness of the fabric.

The high point of the show was the show stopper Kangana Ranuat, who has also been appointed as the brand ambassador of Liva. She was wearing a spectacular voluminous gown with a formal appeal to it and she looked breathtaking in the cute pixie cut style that suited her so well. I am quite in awe of her fashion sensibilities and I don't think they could have chosen a better representative for their brand. A National award winning actress for their advanced innovation!

Did you know that Kangana Ranaut loves fashion so much that she talks to her clothes! How cute :)

It was great to see brands like Pantaloons, Van Heusen, Lifestyle, 109F, Global Desi and designers like Anita Dongre be part of the LIVA Accreditation Partner Forum (LAPF) which is a group of Spinners, Fabricators and Processors who have developed the potential to offer quality innovative products using Birla Cellulose fibres and fibre blends. It definitely a move in the positive direction for the textile and fashion industry in India.

I am looking forward to picking up some great outfits this summer that are made up of the Liva fabric. For you to know what garments are made of this fabric, look for the LIVA tag in garments, it's super simple! :)

Party away with KAZO AW'14!

My birthday is round the corner and due to all my time being devoted to the baby, I suddenly realised that I hadn't started shopping for my birthday yet, which till last year meant shopping from a month before the birthday and ending obviously only on the birthday. So when KAZO invited me to their Autumn/Winter '14 preview, I knew that this was going to be the start of my shopping spree!

While most brands seem to have heavy jackets, fur coats and heavy knits as part of their AW'14 collection, I was really happy to see KAZO have a collection apt for the Mumbai autumn and winter season.  Georgette trousers, shimmer knits, leggings with faux leather trimmings, peplum jackets and lighweight party dresses from the collection stole my heart. The colour palette consisted of neutrals, pastles, brights and warm colours, while pretty florals, geometric prints and embellishments gave the collection a very charming appeal. With the party season all ready to set foot, in my terms, I would call this the 'Party Season' collection.

I zeroed down on my favourites from their collection and put together 5 looks to choose from.

Shimmer Shimmer on the Wall

My love for shimmer is known by everyone. So my first look had to be all things sparkly and shiny for a night party - A shimmery gold jumper paired with a pair of black leggings with faux leather trimmings, a clutch embellished with pearls and embellished loop earrings. An evergreen look that even 10 years down the line will make heads turn.

Style me Twice

This Orange embellished dress caught my eye as soon as I entered the store. There is something that I have for bright colours over dark colours for the Autumn Winter season. For the first look I kept the original brown belt and paired the dress with a white clutch and pearl earrings. For the second look, I colour blocked the outfit by replacing the original belt with a bright blue with gold belt and added a blue sling purse. Absolutely simple ways to style the dress twice. With such simple changes you can easily take it from day to night as well.

Monochrome Love

Monochrome has to be the most loved trend in the world and these georgette palazzo trousers have got to be the most comfortable piece of KAZO's AW'14 collection. It is a must must buy. The bird print on the layered top adds an edge to the outfit. Pair it with a jacket if the weather gets chilly. This look is perfect for a brunch or a dinner date.

Bringing Sexy Back

This blue dress in every sense brought sexy back for me. The lightness of the material, the way it fell on my curves, the way it fit me, the way the drapes fell on my back and the way the diamante accessories and gold clutch matched perfectly. It is going to be the perfect birthday outfit for this new mommy! Sexy yet elegant!

All these looks are going to be perfect for the numerous lunches and dinner parties I am going to plan for my birthday. Why not, after all my birthday comes once a year only and this is my first one with my little one! Yayy, I'm so excited :-)

To see more from the collection, you can check it out all on their website - www.KAZO.com

I would love to know which was your favourite from the looks I have styled, and if you would like any other piece to be styled from their collection, do drop me a comment with the link from their website. Would love to help you guys put your party looks together for the coming season :-)

Stay tuned to my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to see some more of my favourites from the AW'14 collection!
