Happy Birthday fellow Scorpion! It has always been a pleasure to see you on screen creating magic with your movies and giving us some major life goals! I have had the pleasure to see you from Fauji to Jab Harry Met Sejal, and my love, adulation and respect for you has only grown. From those smashing Bollywood hits to the being India's favourite lover boy, we all have enjoyed the various genres you have experimented in cinema. I have laughed with you, cried with you, danced with you and fallen in love with you every time I saw you on screen and when in person, my heart skipped God knows how many beats! For me I have forever swooned over that quicksilver intelligence of yours, your good looks, those dimples and one of the sweetest smiles ever! And your TED Talk only immensely increased what I felt for you -  you prove you are the King of Romance in India, coz you make people fall in love not only with you emotionally but also intellectually!

It's Deepika's birthday today, and this stunner is only getting more and more gorgeous with age. She has slayed the red carpets with oomph and I love her personal style too. Deepika dressed to kill at #IIFA2016!

Deepika towered above everyone else at IIFA 2016! Be it her performance in Piku which got her an award, or her fashion choices, she was there to rule! We haven't really seen Deepika flaunt red carpet looks the way she did at IIFA which of course blew our minds, and so we had to share them with you coz we couldn't let you miss them!

The Piku Collection by Melange by Lifestyle and my inspired look

The country is going gaga over Piku and Shoojit Sircar has proved that he knows how to hit the right chord with the audience by bringing out fresh concepts to watch. Having an exceptional star cast has also worked for this movie as Amitabh Bacchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan would be any director's Dream Team for a movie like Piku. While I can go on raving about the movie, I am going to touch on my next favourite part of the movie which should be an obvious - Deepika's look!

I was recently invited to the unveiling of the 'Piku Inspired Collection by Melange by Lifestyle' by Deepika and Irrfan and I really liked the look created for her character. Deepika's look in the movie is stylish, functional and comfortable and is a perfect marriage of modern meets ethnic. I loved her easy breezy style with kurtis, palazzos, jeans, jackets and scarves seamlessly paired together for a very realistic approach to her character. There was a fashion show to take us through the entire Piku collection which was heavily dominated by black, white and red and there were quite a few pieces that caught my eye. Deepika also crowned the winner of the Piku Melange contest held by Lifestyle.

Lifestyle also let me choose from the Piku Collection by Melange and here is what I put together inspired by Deepika's look in the movie :) I went with the quintessential combination of black and white by combining a classic Chikan kurta with black linen pants and a black bandi(jacket) with tassles and white block print on it.

In case one wants, one can also add a black dupatta to it to give it a more ethnic touch.

I've put together a casual Indian look for the first time on my blog and it's been quite good fun. As always Melange by Lifestyle gave me a fantastic collection to choose from and I am looking forward to adding some more pieces to my wardrobe. The black linen pants are so comfortable that I am practically living in them now and it can be paired with a T-shirt or a short kurti too. While I go and pick up some more pieces for myself, this is a collection that I would surely recommend for you girls to go check out too!

Blackberrys Sharp Nights Progressive

The Blackberrys Sharp Nights has always been a event where one has all reason to dress up and step out in style.Desirable mens wear, stylishly dressed people, great music, food , drinks and this year to add to it - Cinema - definitely Progressive as the theme suggested were all a part of the launch of the Fall Winter 2013 collection at the Blackberrys Sharp Nights – Progressive, an exclusive, closed door fashion extravaganza.

I picked out my favourite dress at the moment - a color-blocked one shoulder dress and paired it with my choicest diamond jewellery to attend the event. :)

The fun filled night saw the brand live up to its motto “Go sharp” as models strutted down the ramp in a collection that featured the classic gentleman’s style in an evolved fashion. Bow ties, tweeds, checks, tartans, sharp trousers and colorful chinos all put together in a style fitting a Blackberrys man.

The show stoppers of the event raising the hotness quotient were the future stars of Indian Cinema - Sidharth Malhotra(hot hot hot), Abhay Deol(his smile was the actual show stopper) and Aditya Roy Kapoor(cute) who walked down the ramp looking dapper and classic in Blackberrys apparel.

The night ended with a dual performance -B.L.O.T. mixing live beats for the crowd while Shruti Hassan jammed along with them.

Blackberrys has become synonymous with giving things the ‘twist’, ‘for challenging norms’ and walking the unbeaten path. With the brand’s mantra of ‘Go Sharp’, this encapsulating concept is another novelty from the brand and thus another Sharp Night from Blackberrys came to an end. We are definitely looking forward to the next one!

L'Oréal Paris Cannes Conference unveiling L'Or Collection by Sonam Kapoor And Namrata Soni

When I think of the Cannes Film Festival, I think of L'Oréal Paris and the fashion fiesta that it is known for being. This year L'Oréal Paris celebrates 16 years of being the official make-up partner and 10 years of partnering with the festival, a partnership that was born from a true passion for cinema and out of respect for the creativity true to L'Oréal s values. What's even better is that the festival is celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema this year and so Bollywood will take centre stage at the red carpet! For an Indian, all eyes should be on Cannes this year :)

Last week, L'Oréal Paris invited me for their Cannes Press Conference to meet Sonam Kapoor as she unveiled L'OR SUNSET - their collection for the Cannes Film Festival paying tribute to Bollywood and homage to the beauty of cinema. Manashi Guha, Marketing Manager, L'Oréal Paris announced Namrata Soni as their new Beauty Expert who has created 6 Bollywood inspired make-up looks keeping in mind the 100 years of Indian Cinema, out of which Sonam will be wearing 2 at the Cannes this year. These looks are inspired by the various eras of Bollywood.

The L’Or Sunset collection features a palette of colours that celebrates the shadows and lights of the most glamorous sunsets. The collection is versatile and I personally got a chance to check out the entire collection at the conference while Namrata showed us two simple looks and gave us tips.

The new L'Or Sunset Collection takes drama to the next level as it filled with colours that satisfy ever person's wants. They have bright pop colours, subtle colours and dark colours thus allowing one to create en-number of looks with one collection. For summer this is going to be my go-to collection. Their range of products is vast and the sparkle nail paints add the Oomph to the collection!

Sonam Kapoor is a fashion icon in our country. I love her eclectic sense of style and the confidence with which she carries herself. The conference proved that in person to me too! She wore a gorgeous Armani Privé dress with to-die-for Sunita Kapoor earrings.

What made her stand out were her straight forward answers, the way she commanded respect for the rest of the people on stage with her and how sweetly she interacted with me and also asked me if I liked the collection - Manners well taught I must say! :)

Namrata Soni, I would say is like a magician who uses her magic wand which are her swift fingers and transforms women into gorgeous beauties in no time. She is one lady to watch out for on the Indian make-up scene.
