Wedding Season Diaries : The Banarasi Lehenga

When Sabyasachi Mukherjee launched his ‘Banarasi Bride’ collection in 2015, I was so in awe that I immediately decided that my next lehenga would be a Banrasi one! Come December, my cousin was getting married and so I got the perfect chance to get this beautiful pink, gold and blue rich Banarasi lehenga made for myself.

The only twist was that for this lehenga I chose to pick up material that had embroidery done on net and not on silk, as silk tends to get very heavy. To go with it, I got made a pink raw silk blouse with gold embroidery and blue net sleeves. The dupatta was a blue net one as well to create a contrast with the pink and gold. Elegant and beautiful, it made me look gorgeous when I wore it, not to forget the compliments that poured in!

Banarasi Lehenga- Customized
Diamond Set & Diamond Bangles - Myra
Gold Clutch - Borrowed from my mommy deareast
Gold Bangles - Tanishq
Metal Bangles -  Janpath Market, Lucknow
Kundan Heels - Catwalk
Hair and Make-up - Juice Salon, Lucknow

What I especially loved on the wedding day about my look was the messy hair bun with pretty flowers, and the fresh elegant make-up that made me glow, which was done by the adept girls at Juice Salon - Lucknow. I honestly wasn't expecting such awesome work but Juice Salon is making sure that they have the best in the business, and this look has turned out to be one of my most favourite wedding looks ever!

For my cousins wedding, this was my look for the main wedding evening where I could easily dance in the baraat also coz the lehenga felt really light. Gorgeous right? 😊
