I was introduced to the label RuVya when I started styling for TV Channels. I loved their very girly, comfy play with silhouettes, fabrics and cuts from the first time I set eye on them. I doubt I have ever done any show without them being a part of it because every collection of theirs is so exciting! Fashion Week this year was when I finally got a chance to adorn one of their lovely creations and I loved loved what I wore!
The easy breezy beige tunic with the applique work of vines climbing along the seams and neckline made for such a pretty looking piece. I paired the tunic with a pair of black and grey palazzo pants , where the stripes added an androgynous spirit to it. Adding a pair of jhumkis was all that was needed to seal the look. From me it certainly won the vote of being the perfect Indo Western outfit to wear on a summer day. This outfit took me right through the last day of Fashion week, to the Rohit Bal grand finale in the night. I couldn't have asked for a better outfit to end this season of Fashion Week! :)
Finally, let me introduce you to the super stylish duo team of Ruchika and Divya behind RuVya who create these amazing designs!
Their current collection is called "I had a dream" and is primarily inspired by Shakespeare’s comedy play ‘Midsummer night’s dream’. They have used dusky shades of grey, maroon and black against supple tones of beige, peach and powder blue for this collection. The highlight is the unique applique work comprising of stars, butterflies and vines. The garments are simple and minimalistic in nature with structured cuts and silhouettes. A collection that you must check out!
