Coral Satchel - Steal Deal!

Coral is the hottest colour of the season! It comes in various hues that border between orange-coral to pink-coral and it's a colour that most of us either had or are incorporating or are planning to incorporate into our wardrobes.

I bought the perfect coral coloured satchel to add the coral effect to my wardrobe! Having existing items doesn't count right now coz I need to have an excuse right to add some more stuff to my wardrobe ;) The bestest part was that it didn't hurt my pocket at all :D Another steal deal! All in all for INR 250 ($5)

Bandra is one of most ideal places for scouting good deals and I found this pretty piece on Linking Road while street shopping.

I love finding good deals.. It keeps me happy and gives me a thrill with the feeling of "Wow! I got this sooo cheap!" Also, a mix of branded and non-branded items keeps my wardrobe balanced and my budget :)

Do you guys like street shopping? Or do you just stick to brands?

By the way did you know that during “The Black Friday” shopping sales, the situation in the U.S. market changes abruptly – it is a day of grandiose sales, which has received its grim name for compelling reasons. Below is a graphic representation that involves only the statistical and financial issues of “The Black Friday”. Assessing the available data throughout the course of the last several years, we can make a notion that 48% of Americans, who are drastically active during this day, are women. Women of extremely diverse generations, races and social statuses year after year demonstrate stable and remarkably vibrant activity in this certain day. Almost a half of these women are ardently discussing the upcoming event of “The Black Friday” in all sorts of social networks. Also, this graph represents the parade of the most popular shops among women and goods, which are of the highest demand during the day. Moreover, one peculiar fact is about that 27% of women take urgent credits in the amount of approximately 500$ every year on “The Black Friday”.

Nau(gh)tical Trend ;)

The classic nautical striped look is a never-going-to-die trend. Year on year it emerges on the runways across the globe in every Spring/Summer fashion week and especially in summer you see it flattering every body type all over the world. Navy blue and white stripes is the evergreen form.

After a long search for the perfect nautical top to suit my taste, I finally found one right in time for summer. Pairing it with white jeans(last worn here), my new blue rimmed Ray Ban's, silver ballerinas and also a new haircut I was set for May Day! It also put me into a naughty and playful mood :) Being a holiday, I spent the whole day with PS bugging him endlessly ;) and finally got some shots in daylight!

The killing heat in Mumbai makes spending time next to a lake seem like bliss and the setting just right for some lovely clicks.

Nautical top - Max
Jeans - Westside
Sunglasses - Ray Ban's
Blue Clutch - Gift from another fashionista
Silver Ballerinas - Linking Road, Bandra

How are you playing the nau(gh)tical trend? ;) What colour stripes do you like?

Women's Health launches in India

The India Today group launched the very first issue of Women's Health magazine (India edition) this month in partnership with the US-based Rodale Inc, the publishers of Women's Health magazine across 26 countries. With a tag line ‘Fit is the New Sexy’, the Indian edition has been positioned to appeal to the sensibilities of the new generation of contemporary, confident and ambitious young Indian woman in the age group of 20s and 30s – who is looking for a resource that helps her achieve her potential, her passions and her personal best! Women’s Health has been a reservoir of health, fitness and style for women the world over. The 27th international edition, Women’s Health India continues to match the exacting standards set by its cousins around the world. I must say this was a magazine that was much needed to be launched in this country and I am happy that it finally has!

The content in the Indian edition can be defined in two parts broadly- one 'Healthier and Fitter life' that includes health, fitness, nutrition and weight loss, the other 'Upgrading your Life', which includes beauty, style, sex, relationships and life skills. The cover stories of the magazine will typically be Bollywood celebs’ success secrets, fitness and diet regimes and their beauty secrets.

Anushka Sharma graces the cover of the launch issue in her super fit avatar and also launched the magazine.

Accompanying her at the launch were fitness expert Leena Mogre and the Editor of Women's Health India, Sanghamitra Chakraborty.

Sanghamitra Chakraborty said “Today women are more independent and are in the forefront of the change. Women’s Health India is a magazine that speaks its mind without being judgmental. Our boldness, sense of humour and honesty is exactly what women want - they appreciate easy, smart, fun choices, not suggestions for unrealistic life changes.”

Anushka answered loads of questions that were thrown at her. The most sensible advice that she gave was not to try to be like her or Deepika or Priyanka, but to follow what is right for your own body type. She also reinstated something that I believe in - It is important to eat every few hours since it increase our metabolic rate whereas our body tends to store whatever it gets as fat if we starve it.

When asked about Zumba, Anushka was clueless what it was :) When told it was a dance form , she was like "We dance enough in Bollywood, there is no need for me to practice Zumba!" :) Cute moment according to Ri(t)ch Styles :)

Anushka's favourite shopping haunt and brand is Zara. She was dressed in an all Zara attire for the launch.

I hope Women's Health is able to impart the kind of advice they say they are going to, as realistic information is what women in India today need. I have followed similar advice for the last 10 years of my life which has been responsible for my 18 kilo weight loss :)

So, what are you waiting for women? Get your hands on a copy now!! :)
