5 Romantic Movies On Netflix You Just Cannot Miss!

Syrupy and sentimental, that's what I'm usually called by my husband, oh yes, if my memory serves me correctly, last time he called me mawkish for watching a romantic movie! Somehow my romantic fixation gets my husband all wordy! But to tell you the truth, I know this for a fact that he secretly enjoys watching them, also debunking the popular notion that romantic movies and romantic comedies are chick flicks meant for and enjoyed by the womenfolk. Well, my logic behind this is, given the times we live in, and currently the lockdown that we are living in, we all need something that reignites that cushy little tender spark, which in our daily grind of life, gets puts out. Romantic movies especially comedies make you laugh, sometimes cry (that's strictly sweet and never serious) and reaffirm your faith in the good old romance and that's why everyone loves them! Especially in this lockdown, it has been such a saviour.

Women empowerment with Captain Marvel! #ShareTheLoad

On International Women's Day courtesy Ariel, me and my mini Aryaa celebrated women empowerment by attending a special screening of Marvel’s much anticipated first solo female superhero film 'Captain Marvel' hosted by Ariel. As the most powerful superhero of the Marvel pack, Captain Marvel only proves that women can not only do all that a man can do, but in fact do so much more! She's human with emotions but the mightiest and strongest, and there couldn't have been a day better than Women's Day to release the movie. Ariel's #ShareTheLoad campaign that addresses gender inequality in Indian households and encourages equal division of household responsibilities, was the perfect partner for this initiative that complimented the mission of International Women's Day of creating a gender-balanced world. It clearly resonates with the modern family ideology of men and women sharing the work load at home and being hands on with everything. I am glad me and my husband have a clear understanding of these without having to make each other aware about such things. The best part is Aryaa has never looked at any task being a boy's or a girl's task. For her it’s all the same.
