Pretty Curvy Stripes & Asymmetry

I'm soooooo happy with this new online store that I came across, that I couldn't wait to share my buys with you guys. Buying from online sites always gives me this uncertain feeling about the quality especially the wholesale sites who also retail, but BaBassu has been a real find! The quality of the three products that I ordered amazed me and hence this online store is a definite recommendation from me to you guys. Most prices are below $30 and hence my verdict definitely is - great quality at great prices!

With asymmetrical dresses being in absolute trend this year, the coming summer is going to see a lot more of them. After the solid colour one that you saw me wear for Valentine's (you can check it out here), I ordered a printed one this time, that too in the unique combination of black and pink curvy stripes. The material is super soft and flows over my body like silk. It's right for day or night and can be dressed up or dressed down according to the occasion.  I decided to keep the look simple for a brunch party, with silver bracelets, a black clutch and black stilettos.

Dress - BaBassu
Shoes - Giovanna (Singapore)
Clutch - Esbeda
Bracelets - Colaba Causeway and Goa Flea Market
Sun Glasses - H&M (Singapore)

This dress works well for a curvy pear shaped body like mine as it balances my slimmer shoulder with my wide hips because of the tighter fit at the top and the flare at the bottom. Also the vertical side stripes panel, along with the structured asymmetrical cut makes me look taller and my legs look longer. All in all a win-win! :)

Kolkata calling

After one of my bestie's wedding, it was one of PS's bestie's turn to get married and the wedding was at Kolkata - the city of Joy! :) I was happy that I would get a chance to travel, see a new place, eat the awesome food there (food is an important aspect of every trip of mine) and enjoy with my hubby's friends who are total sweethearts!

The morning of the wedding day was spent at a mall close to our hotel picking up random stuff and heading to the salon for whoever wanted to get something done. Putting on my new red pants(bought during the recent Mango sale) and a floral top with my current favourite bag, I headed out with the gang for a chilled out first half of the day and an awesome lunch :)

Top - Wetseal, Red Pants - Mango

Sunglasses - Marks & Spencer, Bag - Mango, Watch - Guess, Stacked Bracelet - Colaba Causeway

With one of our favourite couples

These pants are super comfy and you can dress them for a night out or dress it down with a simple top - rocks anytime! Must buy for those who haven't bought one!

Spring is here!!

Pink is nearly every girl's favourite colour and white jeans are a must for every girl's wardrobe.. Combine these together and you have a spring outfit effortlessly ready :)

Last saturday me and my newest photographer(also one of my closest girlies) went out for a movie and then we set out to check out new locations for pictures, finally settling on a lovely waterfront.. Since it was dark, the water body can't be seen in the pics but the background lights in the darkness looked lovely..

Tunic worn as top - Zara, White Jeans - Westside

Bag - Zara

Bangles - Colaba Causeway

Neck piece - Chemistry ( gift from sis-in-law)

Snakeskin textured shoes - Portia (ordered through Brandmile)

This water body has been very close to my heart. Whenever I have been low, upset or disturbed, I have always come here and sat in my car for ages just soaking in my surroundings to calm me down and it does soothe me to a great extent. I have a very old relationship with this place............

A year since it all began....

Anniversaries I am sure are important moments in everyone's lives - until and unless you are a guy and forget ;)! Wedding anniversaries definitely top most peoples lists according to me :) Isn't it?

PS and me celebrated our first anniversary in June, but that's not the anniversary that this post is about ;) :O Then what you must be wondering!! Well its about the anniversary that we celebrated to commemorate a year since we first met. That was when we were also completing the first six months of getting married. The feeling on that day was very different from what I felt on my wedding anniversary. It was predominantly a feeling of thankfulness to God for having brought PS into my life :D

And this is what I wore on that special nite to add sparkle to the great time that lay ahead! :)
