The Love Story of Rubies and Diamonds!

Gold jewellery and Indian women are inseparable. Tradition calls for jewellery to be a part of every important phase of an Indian woman's life, right from birth to marriage to childbirth, to festivals to any celebration. Take that further to aesthetics, and jewellery according to me enhances a woman's look to a totally different level. This especially holds true for statement pieces, diamond jewellery and jewellery set with semi-precious stones.

Jewellery has evolved over the ages. Be it designs, be it technique or the metals and stones used. Traditionally it was more gold and less stones and today the preference of diamonds and semi-precious stones has taken over the market. Every wedding season we see new trends, and this year we see a mix of traditional designs with modern techniques making the pieces available this season absolutely stunning. I am a total romantic at heart and diamonds and rubies are my weakness. For my wedding I made sure I had a set in each in my trousseau. For me it has emotional value too because by tradition my grandmother gave me a ruby set for my wedding. Now while I already had my favourites with me, you never stop craving for more right? So when Manubhai Jewellers decided to launch a special Rubies and Diamonds collection, I was one of the first ones to go and check it out. The designs are fresh, contemporary and are a perfect amalgamation of style and sophistication which I am going to show you in this video.

As you can see, I loved it all since the collection has beautiful earrings, bracelets, cocktail rings and necklace sets that can be worn with Indian or Western outfits making them perfect to go from cocktail parties to weddings.

These 2 pieces were my absolute favourite from the collection!

And while I was at Manubhai Jewellers, I couldn't help buy check out their other amazing pearl, polki and kundan collections and here are a few favourites from those as well.

For my wedding, Manubhai Jewellers was one of the trusted ones that I went to as they have been in the jewellery business for over 5 decades and hold a good reputation in Mumbai for their designs and quality. They have a luxurious showroom in  Borivali West where they pamper you to your hearts content, while giving you a variety to choose from which very few jewellers can boast of. So do go and check out their gorgeous jewellery and I am sure you are going to thank me for my suggestions when you step out having bought from one of the best in the business of jewellery.
