Summer is already here! I mean I felt like it was summer in Mumbai right in the middle of February itself with temperatures hitting 38 degrees. Google also proves this to me every morning when it sends me messages not to step out as the UV rays are too strong. Things change with time, but who knew that with time the world would become a hotter place to live in! Well the issue of global warming is affecting us since a few years now, but instead of taking measures to slow it down, our country leaders continue to make developmental plans, which to fulfill, they do not mind chopping off humongous amounts of trees and mangroves that reduce atmospheric Carbon dioxide and prevent larger amounts of greenhouse gases from reaching the atmosphere. I remember when I was a kid, summer vacations would be the best part of the year because we would visit our native towns and play in the sun all day. In my childhood days, I never had a sun stroke or used any kind of sunscreen to stay safe from the sun because in those years, the UV rays weren't able to reach us that easily and there also were enough trees to protect us and reduce the atmospheric heat, but today that is not the case. Now we have this constant confusion on how to save ourselves from the heat and what to use to save our skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

Product Review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily moisturiser SPF 30
I have dry skin which needs a lot of care. To top it the UV rays hinder the enzymes that produce the skin's natural
moisturising factor of holding onto water. They also decrease levels of
hyaluronic acid, which draws water into the skin and keeps it hydrated. Both
these actions dry the skin out further which may result in sunburn. Hence as The
Body Shop Vitamin C SPF
30 along with providing protection also ensures moisturising to do away with
the dryness and dullness factor, it seemed perfect to me when I picked it up the first time. The citron smell also adds a certain fresh feeling on application. The mosituriser contains sesame seed oil which softens skin and strengthens the skin’s natural defence system and the Amazonian camu camu berry, which is known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature that protects against damaging environmental aggressors. These factors along with the SPF made me pick it up even though I found the price slightly steep intially. However, within a week I noticed my skin looking more radiant and feeling more hydrated. There - I had finally found what I was looking for, without the greasiness that other sunscreens gave me :)
For it to have the best effects, use it twice daily after cleansing and toning your skin. Take just a pea sized amount. Let it take 5 minutes to absorb into your skin before you apply any make up.
This is priced at INR 1195 for 50 ml. I recommend to you the rest of the Vitamin C range as well from The Body Shop. As far as this sunscreen is concerned, I am definitely getting my hands on my 3rd tube soon :)
