February 2015 Favourites - Make-up, Skincare and a Perfume!

The favourites is becoming so much fun and trying new products with the thought that I have to choose the best to recommend to you guys is quite exciting. It also makes me think why I like a product over the other and it's actually helping me create a check list of 'must-appeal' in a product. I'm thinking by the end of the year I will do a favourites of the year video too :)

Okay now let me get back to my February 2015 favourites and back to what I was sharing with you. I have make-up, skincare and a perfume this time and some of my favourites are really brilliant products. Check out the video!

While the February favourites have been delayed, the March one will be coming up soon and I have some great products lined up for that too :) In case you have missed my earlier updates, head to my YouTube channel to see them.

Product Review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily moisturiser SPF 30

We all need sunscreens don't we? Those of you who say no or don't use any sunscreens, let me tell you that even if you are exposing yourself to the sun for 5 minutes in a day, you need one to protect yourselves from the UVA and UVB rays! And for those of you who agree with me or are starting to agree ;), today I'm reviewing The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Moisturiser SPF 30, which I have been using for the last two years and provides both UVA and UVB protection.

I have dry skin which needs a lot of care. To top it the UV rays hinder the enzymes that produce the skin's natural moisturising factor of holding onto water. They also decrease levels of hyaluronic acid, which draws water into the skin and keeps it hydrated. Both these actions dry the skin out further which may result in sunburn. Hence as The Body Shop Vitamin C SPF 30 along with providing protection also ensures moisturising to do away with the dryness and dullness factor, it seemed perfect to me when I picked it up the first time. The citron smell also adds a certain fresh feeling on application.  The mosituriser contains sesame seed oil which softens skin and strengthens the skin’s natural defence system and the Amazonian camu camu berry, which is known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature that protects against damaging environmental aggressors. These factors along with the SPF made me pick it up even though I found the price slightly steep intially. However, within a week I noticed my skin looking more radiant and feeling more hydrated. There - I had finally found what I was looking for, without the greasiness that other sunscreens gave me :)

For it to have the best effects, use it twice daily after cleansing and toning your skin. Take just a pea sized amount. Let it take 5 minutes to absorb into your skin before you apply any make up.

This is priced at INR 1195 for 50 ml. I recommend to you the rest of the Vitamin C range as well from The Body Shop. As far as this sunscreen is concerned, I am definitely getting my hands on my 3rd tube soon :)
