How to wear a Kurti differently!

Summer is just around the corner. In fact Mumbai is already facing the heat and our wardrobe choices are already being influenced by the summer like weather we are experiencing. Kurtis are one of my favourite pieces for summer and are an absolutely versatile item that look great paired with bottoms of different kinds. A kurti for women is a staple in India and I am sure all of you love to wear them too wither with salwars, jeans or leggings, but today I am going to show you some different ways to style your kurtis for casual and formal occassions and stand out from the crowd. While I do have loads of kurtis in my wardrobe, the kurti collection from BIBA for Spring Summer 2016 is so amazing, that I can't help but have lots of favourites which I have styled here.

Kurti With Palazzos

This stylish black and white strappy kurti which is great to show off your collar bones can be combined with a flowy black palazzo and bright peach pumps, clutch, some metal bangles and tear drop earrings. Finish off the look with a winged eyeliner and a bright lip. This look can be worn for semi-formal or formal occasions and is a very very comfortable look.

Kurti with Maxi Skirt
Another comfortable look can be achieved by pairing your kurtis with maxi skirts. Enhance it further with potli bags, chappals, wooden bangles, jhumka style earrings and lots of kajal for the summery Indian boho chic look. You can use skirts of different kinds be it cotton, silk or synthetics as long as it is the flowy variety to achieve the easy breezy look.

Kurti with Pencil Pants
Perfect for special ocassions, silk pencil pants add a formal look to your kurtis. Golden silk pants are ideal for any kurti that has golden work on them. Wear nude heels to elongate your legs and add jadau kadas, jhumkis, a golden clutch along with some dark lips and soft makeup and you have the perfect Indo-western look!

Kurti with Dhoti Pants
Kurtis with dhoti pants is the most stylish combination to have hit the fashion world recently. A pair of dhoti pants especially in flowy materials instantly ups your style quotient. Add a pair of strappy high heels to add height along with a sling bag, some stone jewellery, light smoky eyes and a bright lip to make heads turn.

By the way, the kurti is also a stylish cover up for your swimwear and looks awesome over your shorts too, so make it a part of  your beach essentials too this summer. I usually wear my kurtis in the more unconventional ways that I have listed above and hope to inspire a lot of you to move to more such stylish options.
