Indian Outfit Ideas for New Year's Eve!

Dressing up for that New Year Party is not always about dressing up in your best western wear. Sometimes putting together a pretty Indian outfit can also make you stand out, or maybe the theme of the party you are planning to attend is Indian wear. Now before you start thinking that wearing an Indian outfit is a tedious affair, let me show you some easy peasy functional Indian looks that will let you have all the fun you want, while looking pretty and without being bogged down. Thanks to the different styles of kurtas for women that are available these days, you have multiple options to play around to get that perfect look for New Year's eve!

I love Rangriti's current festive collection for women and all the 3 kurtas that have I used in the looks below are from this latest range. I have chosen different styles of kurtas, since each one of you might be having different tastes in kurtas and of course a different style of dressing up. Now let's check them out!

Indian Outfit Ideas for NYE - The Asymmetrical Kurta

The asymmetrical silhouette is one of the best styles to have hit the Indian wear segment. Kalidar kurtas in this format look the prettiest. It also makes the person look taller. For the first look, I have chosen this vibrant red kalidar kurta with a silver and gold print, and gone the boho chic way by pairing it with metallic coin style earrings, multi coloured enamel bangles and a batik embroidered clutch. My suggestion would be to keep the make-up natural but the lipstick bright when you choose to go with an ensemble like this.

Indian Outfit Ideas for NYE - The Layered Kurta

I always wonder why the layered kurta trend came in so late. Makes the whole job of looking gorgeous so very simple with such a simple twist to the existing kurta concept. The layer below is longer and usually the kalidar style which in our existing kurtas was the lining, and the main layer above is a shorter straight kurta. In most cases, the layers are detachable and you can also wear them separately. I loved the light blue colour of the kurta that I have chosen here with a gold print - very very elegant. Metallic bangles, delicate dangler earrings like the pretty rose ones that I have chosen and metallic gold clutch are the perfect accompaniments. Put on a dark red lip while keeping the rest of the makeup simple, and you are set to bring in the New Year!

Indian Outfit Ideas for NYE - The Kurta Pant Set

We always pair our kurtas with legging and salwars, but have you tried other options? Straight kurtas look great paired with straight pants, just like this beautiful yellow printed kurta that looks lovely paired with pair of red pants. Pair it with pearl jewellery, a red embroidered clutch and on the makeup front - a smoky eye look with mauve lips, and trust me the compliments are going to flow in all night!

Don't you love the collection too? Get your hands on these and check out the rest of the collection here - http://www.rangriti.com/shop/tops/kurta.html
