Cozy.. Chic.. Date Night..

As parents, Prateek and my date nights have by and large reduced - well parenthood comes at a cost, but we happily would do anything to spend time with Aryaa! However with the chill in the air, it's the perfect weather to step out on a romantic date, so this winter we have taken the effort a couple of times, to step out. The thing is, that I feel really cold with even a slight drop in temperature and that's the reason why I have lots of knits stocked in my cupboard, along with new ones getting added as and when I like something in the stores. So I always try and make an occasion out of a winter date night coz I love to dress up and while I may not go all out, a smart sweater can make a great difference to the look along with keeping me warm. 

I picked up this sweater from H&M last month and I love the metallic loops with the tie up at the neck line. Make the sweater look really chic and subtly sexy! Also I thought it was perfect for a casual date night which is exactly when I first used it 😊 I paired it with my favourite dark blue GAP jeans though one could pair it with trousers or a skirt as well. My Coach snake print stiletto pumps is what I opted of instead of a pair of solid/bright coloured heels which is also what one could wear, though I would totally avoid wearing black heels with this outfit as it would make it too dull. For the pop of colour I added my red Kate Spade bow cross-body. I blow dried my hair, kept the makeup simple and added a pair of statement earrings to my ears. All in all a look that took me 15 minutes to put together. By the way, this look is also perfect for a day of meetings followed by a dinner date.

I hope this look inspires you ladies, especially mommies, who can see how simple it is to not let mommyhood come in the way of staying chic yet comfortable! And trust me, if you have an understanding husband like mine, he will appreciate every bit of the effort that you will put in. Small efforts play a huge role not only in boosting your confidence but also keep the spark in your relationship alive. 💖💖💖
