Review - Oriflame's Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena range

Just like I love a glass of lemonade to make me feel refreshed anytime, my skin too loves skincare products with lemon as the main ingredient, for the refreshed and squeaky clean feeling it gives. In a store my hands always reach out to a product that contains lemon as the ingredient in it. Basically, I love anything and everything that is citrus related. There have always been age old tales of how a few drops of lemon can enhance your skin when used in various ways, yet not many are aware of it. People generally talk about how the intake of lemon in our diet has benefits, but skincare not many people know the benefits. Other than waking up the skin, Vitamin C in lemon is known to destroy free radicals in our skin, thus giving us even skin tone, clear complexion and a healthy glow.

When the newly launched range by Oriflame which is the Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena range came in my mail, I was overjoyed to see that its main ingredients were lemon and verbena. This range has bath and body products - a Hand & Body Lotion, Body Wash and Liquid Hand Soap. Like most of you know and as I told you earlier on in the post, lemons are a rich source of Vitamin C and they also contain citric acid which together enhance and brighten up your skin when used on a regular basis. Verbana also known as Lemon Verbana has a characteristic lemony smell and is widely used in its oil form for skincare. It has emollient properties and thus makes your skin softer and helps the skin retain moisture effectively. I started using the products from this range right from the day I received them, and here are my thoughts on the range!

Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena Body Wash

Oriflame's Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena Body Wash is the perfect mix of natural essential oils and citrus notes from lemon and verbena. This combination not only cleans, hydrates and conditions your skin but also leaves a beautiful citrus scent post your bath. This is what makes me love the body wash even more. You need not more than 2 to 3 pumps for the entire body. It does not lather too much, but has a rich creamy lather that does its job well! After using the body wash, my skin felt refreshed and squeaky clean yet moisturized. After having used this over a period of time, I have seen the skin on my legs become more even toned and blemish free, which is quite a noticeable change. It costs INR 699/- for 300 ml. Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena Hand & Body Lotion

Since I have dry skin, body lotions are an important of part of my post bath routine and I don't remember the last time I stepped out without applying body lotion. Oriflame's Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena Hand & Body Lotion is carefully blended using natural extracts and essential oils that get absorbed into the skin instantly with a light rub. The finish is non-greasy which is how I like it. I do not need a reapplication till the next day as it keeps my skin moisturized for 24 hours unlike some body lotions that need reapplication after a few hours. It works best when used with the body wash from the same range. It costs INR 799/- for 300 ml. You can buy it here - https://goo.gl/iXLzQw

Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena Liquid Hand Soap

The Essense&Co. Lemon & Verbena Liquid Hand Soap is a moisture-rich formulation which is infused with natural essential oils which does not allow the hands to dry out. Since we wash our hands multiple times a day, this is an important criteria for hand washes, and I also do not need to apply a hand cream post the wash. The oils hydrate the skin and the lemon and verbena are helpful in enriching the soft skin of our hands that get stripped of moisture every time we wash them. Not to forget, my hands smell wonderful too post the wash. It costs INR 699/- for 300 ml. You can buy it here - https://goo.gl/wtzNWb

All the products in this range are dermatologically tested and come with the goodness of lemon and verbena that can enhance your skin and so can be used on a daily basis. The packaging is pretty - transparent bottle with a gold and black pump, and is extremely good quality. The pump makes it very easy to squeeze out the product at the time of use. I actually am feeling bad that I will have to dispose of such good bottles once the products get over. I loved using this range and this is definitely going to be on my repeat list!
