Shop Beauty and Wellness at Nykaa.com

I have shopped at various online portals for beauty and wellness in the past. Each one of them has given me great service, variety of products and convenience. But when I came across Nykaa.com, it gave me reasons that others hadn't given me, to love it more.

Firstly it surprised me with the array of renowned brands it has on display. Its catalogue includes Makeup, Skincare, Hair Care, Bath & Body, Fragrance, Herbal and Men's products along with the recent addition of categories like Mother & Baby and Wellness. You name the brands and they are there.

Secondly since they are sourced directly from the brands, the middlemen charges are eliminated, thus making the prices as reasonable as possible. And while all this did impress me, the 4 unique reasons why I fell in love with Nykaa are different! Let me spell them out for you here:

1. Virtual Makeover Studio

You can spend hours at the unique interactive Virtual Makeover Studio. Upload your photo or use an existing model’s photo, give yourself a digital makeover by ‘trying’ on some trendy makeup to find the brands and shades that suit you best. You can share your look with friends on Facebook and get their views too before you make your buying decision. Cool isn't it? Here's the sample - the winning entry of our giveaway recently:

I totally loved this feature! Makes it so easy to buy stuff knowing what the colour will look like :) You can try it by clicking here.

2. Earn Reward Points

Who wouldn't wanna make money while shopping? That is exactly what happens when you shop at Nykaa. You earn points while you shop. In fact, when you sign up, you earn 2000 points that you can use in any future purchase!

3. Beauty Book

Get access to exclusive beauty tips, product reviews, DIYs and Bollywood looks each week. Read step-by-step tutorials on how to use makeup and get a glimpse of the latest beauty brands used by celebs. The Beauty Book section also helps in making the right decisions while teaching a couple of tricks along the way.
Check it out here: http://beautybook.nykaa.com/

4. Chat with India’s top experts

While Mom’s advice is great; sometimes you just want to hear it from the pros! Read what Jaishree Sharad has to say about Acne or chat live with Arshis Javeri and ask him about his top makeup brands.

Also when I shopped, their around-the-clock access to personal shoppers to assist me in picking up products, on-time delivery and multiple payment options (including COD) added in making it a fulfilling experience. I would definitely recommend Nykaa.com to you for all your beauty and wellness needs!

Enjoy your shopping and do share your experience with me! :)

Camouflaged Nerd!

Camouflage Shirt - Romwe
Oxblood Pants - IJeans, Shoppers Stop
Studded Tan Belt - Bangkok (A buy from 2003 that's still a part of my everyday use)
Slingback shoes - Charles & Keith (last seen here, herehere and here)
Bag - Lavie

The wind in my hair and my hair on my face! Just couldn't control it!

My glasses finally make a debut on the blog! Lol! No, they aren't new and no, I haven't just gotten a number :) I've been wearing them for nearly 17 years now, 15 years out of which I have worn more of my lenses and so you never came to know ;) :P In school most people called me a nerd and 90% of the time when I wear my glasses, people still do that. But trust me on this, I'm so not a nerd :)

Camouflage, Oxblood and Studs are 3 trends I am coveting at the moment and this studded camouflage shirt from Romwe inspired me to put all 3 together to create a slightly offbeat look. I threw in the camouflage shirt, a pair of oxblood pants and a studded tan belt with it and added tan accessories to complete the look. And not to forget my glasses :)

Blogversary sweet treats from Icing on Top :)

This 4th Blogversary for us, has been a total blast! The Spa Party was a fun fun afternoon and the giveaways have been a total hit too :) But it became even more special when Icing on Top sent us loads of fabulous sweet treats to congratulate us for the Blogversary! Super sweet of them! And I must tell you, the goodies were just to die for! We had to had to share it with you guys :)

When it came, I was super surprised to see a bag FULL of goodies. The only words that came out of my mouth were - "OH MY GOODNESS! SO MUCH!"

The baby of chef Ayushi Shah, Icing on Top promises that everything is vegetarian. Took me by shock coz never before in my life had I ever tasted such wonderful egg less desserts.

The Red Alert Cakelette
Melted the minute it reached inside my mouth. Made of red velvet sponge cake layered with a cream cheese frosting. One of the best red velvet cakes I have ever eaten.

The Chocolate Mud Pie
A decadent mix of soft chocolate cake and gooey chocolate syrup, sinful to say, but a total mood lifter. We sneaked into the kitchen in the middle of the night to eat it ;)

Chocolate Chip Cookies, Lemon Cookies and Cinnamon Cookies
Cute bite sized cookies, wherein you can pop a few at a time into your mouth. Soft and full of flavour. I couldn't really zero in on my favourite out of the three as all of them were equally good but I loved the sourness of the lemon cookies.

Oreo and Red Velvet Cake Pops
Lollipops as a kid were one of my favourite sweets. Would put one into my mouth and hope that it never gets over :) and these cake pops just reminded me of those childhood days. Actually these are also perfect for those moments when you are craving something sweet but don't want to have a big portion. A few bites and you are happy that you got what you wanted, without loading on a lot of calories ;) It's convenient to carry too.

Blueberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse and Hazelnut Mousse Shot Glasses
Yummmmmm!!! This was the first and foremost reaction to the Shot Glasses, and while Blueberry Cheesecake is my most favourite dessert in the world, the Hazelnut Mousse Shot Glass stole my heart this time. Just right portions I must say and a lovely idea :)

For me, Icing on Top is definitely gonna be on my list of must go places for desserts and cakes :)

Life in Black & White with some colour...

Haven't there been days when you've wondered how the world would look if everything was in shades of black and white? Where you would see some colours once in a while and it would make your day? :) Like sometimes a red or sometimes a blue or sometimes a green and sometimes God would give us a bonus and show us more than one colour at a time? Just like life is - ups and downs with surprises once in a while! :)

And here's the bonus - more than one colour ;)

Black Peplum Top - Jabong
B&W Striped Pants - Romwe
Fringe Bag - Chicnova
Blue Wedge Heels - Debenhams
Umbrella - Jean Claude Biguine

The peplum trend is in and so is the striped pants or zebra pants or joker pants trend(whatever you want to call it, coz I love it irrespective the name!) thus making me wanna wear it for a coffee date and feel all trendy ;). To top it, the colours matched my mood for the post perfectly. So here I was heading out  in my newest top from Jabong and these lovely striped pants from Romwe. How often does your outfit, fit in perfectly with your thoughts? :) Lucky me! ;)
